The Evening

Doors open at 5:00 pm for cocktail hour. Conversations begin. Old friends reconnect. New partnerships take root.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm.

But this evening is about more than a meal. Across Kendall County, young people are searching for identity, belonging, and purpose. Parents are looking for safe, faith-filled spaces after school. Schools and churches are carrying tremendous responsibility and cannot do it alone.

Ablaze Youth Outreach exists to step into that gap; not with programs alone, but through consistent relationships, intentional mentorship, and authentic accompaniment.

This evening is an invitation to invest in a generation. It is about creating places where young people are known, supported, and challenged to become who God created them to be.

We call this vision Refuge.

Refuge is more than a building. More than an outreach center. More than a weekly program. It is consistency. It is belonging.

Because when young people are seen, supported, and accompanied over time, lives change. And when lives are changed, culture changes too.

Attire

Hill Country Elevated – Come comfortable and confident. Sport coats, dresses, boots, and polished casual attire are all welcome.

Keynote Speaker

Stan Laing

For four decades, Stan Laing has shaped the lives of students, coaches, and educators across Texas. A former coach, principal, and Assistant Superintendent for Athletics at Northside ISD, Stan is best known for championing a “Beyond the Game” culture that challenged over 600 coaches to become servant leaders, Hope Dealers, and Love Distributors. During his 15 years as Athletic Director, Northside programs won 17 state championships, but Stan considers his greatest achievement the people who learned to lead with faith, humility, and service. His legacy continues through the countless lives impacted by his message: F.A.M.I.L.Y. — Forget About Me, I Love You.

our mission

The AYO Boerne Vision

We believe every young person deserves a place where they are known, supported, and challenged to become who God created them to be.

That is the vision for AYO Boerne.

More than a program, Refuge will be a place where students can:

  • Spend time in a safe, welcoming environment after school
  • Receive mentorship, tutoring, and practical support
  • Build meaningful relationships with adults who consistently show up
  • Encounter Christ through authentic accompaniment and community

Refuge will also serve as a hub for youth outreach across Kendall County by:

  • Training and forming missionaries, mentors, and volunteers
  • Partnering with churches, schools, juvenile probation, and community leaders
  • Coordinating collaborative efforts to reach and support young people

Our goal is simple: to create a culture of belonging where every young person knows they are seen, valued, and never alone.

why it matters

Why This Night Matters

This is a complimentary evening, with dinner and drinks provided as our gift to you.

But it is also an invitation. An invitation to invest in the future of young people in Boerne and Kendall County. An invitation to help create places where students are known, supported, and accompanied. An invitation to join a community committed to ensuring that no young person walks alone.

Throughout the evening, you will have the opportunity to partner with the expansion of Ablaze Youth Outreach and help us respond to the growing needs of our community.

Because we are not simply building a program. We are building Refuge. And Refuge is not built by an organization. It is built by a community.
