Michael Alexander is the Assistant Dean for Graduate and a Lecturer at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Michael also oversees operations at Mays Business School’s CityCentre campus in Houston.

As a Lecturer at Mays, Mike has teaching responsibilities for BUAD 679, ‘Leadership and Professional Development,’ in the Professional MBA program and, previously, BUAD 705, ‘Business Communications and Professional Presence’ in the Master of Science in Business program.

In 2015, Mike also served as the Interim Director of MBA Recruiting and Admissions and the Full-Time MBA Program for Mays Business School.

Prior to joining Mays in March of 2012, Michael spent 20 years in the advertising industry in a variety of roles including production, operations, operations management, sales, marketing, sales management and business development. From 2002-2012, Michael worked as the divisional Manager of Business Development for the seventh largest cable broadband company in the U.S. (Suddenlink Communications). In that role, Michael managed multiple revenue streams and was responsible for several multi-million dollar development projects.

Michael holds a B.A. and B.S. from Abilene Christian University and an MBA from Texas A&M University (via Mays Business School’s Executive MBA Program).

Additionally, Mike is a certified Strengths Coach (Clifton Strengthsfinder) and a Birkman Certified Professional.

Mike is originally from Longview, TX. He is married to Maggie. They are active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, TX where he is a Lector, chair of the Implementation Team for “Dynamic Parish”, a member of the Pastoral Council, and a lead member of the Alpha Team. Mike and Maggie have a daughter, Savannah, a son-in-law, Sergio, a fantastic grandson, Noah, and a beautiful granddaughter, Felicity.

Mike and Maggie enjoy RV’ing, international travel, and growing in their faith.

Mike also serves on the Executive MBA Council Advisory Board where he is also Treasurer (a global industry advocacy board), the BusinessCAS Advisory Board (an industry board), the B/CS Habitat for Humanity Board where he is President-Elect.
