Ministry Background: I have been serving in youth ministry since 2010, when I started as the Youth Minister and Confirmation Coordinator at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Boerne, TX. In 2015, my family and I sold all that we had and moved to Haiti and served as full-time missionaries with Life Teen International. After serving for two years overseas, we returned to Georgia and I took on a full-time position with Life Teen as the Restore Missions Camp Coordinator. I’ve had the privilege of working with the Summer Camps Team at Life Teen, coordinating and serving alongside thousands of teens who attend Life Teen Summer Camps.

Passions and Interests: As of husband and father of six and another one on the way, life is a blast! Youth and young adult ministry is a passion that I have been pursuing for 15 years. Evangelization is a priority and I’m always looking to find those who feel on the outside, seeking to share the Lord’s truth and mercy. I am also a world-renowned taco connoisseur with tortillas being my utensil of choice. The best convos happen when eating REAL Tex-Mex! Whether fishing Legos out of toilets or teaching my kids how to dance cumbias, my wife and I are always looking to help others encounter Christ.

How did you become involved with Ablaze/why are you involved? I went from working in construction one day to working in youth ministry another (ask me about it)! I had no training, no clue, but I had a passion for walking with young people. Through my time inquiring about Ablaze, I was inspired by the prayer and steps that went into developing this ministry. The dream of helping others pursue their passion of working with young people – that’s what snagged me!

Favorite Quotes/Bible Verses:

“I know your works; I know you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because
you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” – Revelations 3:15-16

“Families must have the courage to set before young people the radical decision to follow Christ, showing
them how deeply rewarding it is.” – Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
