How did you become involved with Ablaze? My wife and I were invited to a dinner by family friends/fellow parishioners, where P.J. Lozano and Matt Rice shared about Ablaze.
What does Ablaze’s mission mean to you? It is beautiful to watch people putting their God-given gifts to work for others and truly being the hands and feet of Christ. Additionally, Ablaze’s willingness to not be pigeonholed into doing just one thing, but providing different, but necessary, services depending on what different communities need is refreshing. In my opinion, Ablaze’s commitment to faith in action truly shows God’s love as well or better than any sermon or words ever could.
What is one piece of advice you would give your 15-year-old self? Be patient, God has a plan if you can manage to get out of the way and allow Him to show you. Probably the same advice I would give my 53-year-old self!
