Ministry at Ablaze: Content Coordinator with Beyond the Pew
Ministry Background: Beginning in high school and throughout college, I was very involved in parish ministry and helped coordinate retreats and lead weekly small groups. Serving others in the details, the creativity, the group discussions, and the one on one mentoring is where I find so much joy. Now as a wife and a mother, I coordinate a Mother’s Ministry in my home parish where I get to work with an amazing group of women. I am thrilled to be serving with Beyond the Pew to continue pouring into parents and sharing Christ’s love with them and their families.
Passions and interests: I am passionate about the care of people during their journey of parenthood. I love creating community and giving others a place to share and be themselves. I am happiest after I’ve had coffee. Other loves are traveling, hiking, painting, and dance parties with my two little ones.
Why I’m involved: I served with Ablaze for a few years right after I graduated from college. I had to step away as we welcomed our daughter and relocated to the Dallas area for my husband’s work. I’m excited to be a part of Ablaze again, serving in this new way in parent ministry.
Favorite quotes/verses:

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith to this grace in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope, and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us. Romans 5:1-5

Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. GK Chesterton

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. CS Lewis
