Ministry Background: I have been involved in ministry to some degree for as long as I can remember. As a child, I ministered to people through signs of affection (i.e. hugs) and words of encouragement. In elementary & middle school, I served at Holy Mass as an altar server and lector; however, I really became active in ministry from high school on. My high school youth ministry program was incredible, and I took every opportunity to participate / volunteer in every retreat / event they put on. It was during those years that I realized I had a charism for music, specifically as a worship leader. When I graduated from high school, I made the decision to commit two years of my life to NET Ministries (a Catholic missionary organization based out of West St. Paul, MN), and those were some of the most beautiful & formative years of my life!
After working with NET Ministries, I was planning to go to Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH to study Theology and Catechetics in hopes of becoming a full time youth minister, but God wanted me in College Station. While I was studying at A&M, I found out about Ablaze Ministries, and began working with them soon after! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with Ablaze, because I’m constantly led deeper into the Sacred Heart of Jesus as I encourage young people to seek Him whom their heart longs for.

Passions and interests: I like studying Theology, growing in my Catholic faith, reading, longboarding, playing boardgames, being virtuous, cooking, eating good food, hanging out with friends, spending time in nature, and just enjoying the many blessings of life! I also have a passion for faith-based conversations and for being a big brother

How did you become involved with Ablaze/why are you involved? During my freshman year at Texas A&M, a friend of mine (Sarah Sullivan) invited me to lead praise & worship for a high school retreat Ablaze was running. I guess I did a pretty good job, because I was offered a job shortly after that haha I love working for Ablaze, because it supports me in fulfilling many of the desires of my heart: to work in ministry, to have friends who are running towards Christ & encouraging me to do the same, and to have continued formation in my Catholic faith.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God”
   – Hebrews 12:1-2

“We renounce no friendship. But it may be the part of a friend to rebuke a friend’s folly. And when the Noldor welcomed us and gave us aid, otherwise then you spoke: in the land of Aman we were to dwell forever, as brothers whose houses stand side by side”

“Lord, teach us goodness, discipline, and wisdom, and these gifts will keep us from becoming hardened by evil, weakened by laziness, or ignorant because of foolishness”
