Ministry Background:  I’ve been involved in music ministry my whole life (thanks mom for starting me out young), but it wasn’t until I went off to college that I became deeply involved in the faith. I joined my university’s Catholic Campus Ministry group where I had the opportunity to join the choir, lead a small group/bible study, serve as the community service coordinator, staff retreats and serve as Co-President of the Association my senior year. During my college years, I also had the blessing of initiating and coordinating a Young Adult Retreat in my hometown.  After graduation, I began to staff retreats as a part of a small music ministry group, and I worked as the Coordinator of Redemption of my home diocese’s Development Department.

Passions and interests: I absolutely love to dance and sing. I may or may not be good at either one of those, but I enjoy it for sure. You can always find me baking cookies (and burning them), lighting aromatic candles, and playing guitar. I’m passionate about sharing the faith with people of all ages and writing super long theological/inspiring posts on Instagram. I cherish quality time with my family and friends, but most of all I cherish quality time with Jesus.

How did you become involved with Ablaze/why are you involved? Encountering Christ in college ignited a desire within me to share the beauty of God’s love with everyone but specifically with the young people of the church.

Although, I was sad I couldn’t find a youth ministry job right after college, I knew the Lord’s plans were better than mine, and I tried my best to cling to that truth. After working for my home diocese for about a year, I felt the tug to turn back to youth ministry once again.

I began praying and discerning possible ministry opportunities, and it was then that the Lord introduced me to Ablaze Ministries. I fell in love with Ablaze’s mission immediately, and to me, having the opportunity to be a part of this team is honestly proof of how faithful our Lord truly is. If I had found a youth ministry job right after college, I probably wouldn’t have found Ablaze and that would have been very sad. Praise Jesus for not giving me what I want when I demand it! The Lord knows best.
