Hometown: Pierce, Nebraska
Education: B.S. in Human Service Counseling from Wayne State College
Ministry at Ablaze: Middle School Youth Ministry at St. Joseph’s
Ministry Background: In high school, I was involved in my parish’s youth group. We worked through a program called Y Disciple which was a video series presented by famous catholic speakers on topics involving the pit falls of high school and how to live out the faith while in high school. July of 2014 I attended Benedictine College Youth Conference, which was a conference for high school students held at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. It was here that I encountered Christ in the Eucharist for the first time and began to learn of who He is and His love for me.
In college, I was involved in the Newman center and FOCUS as a student leader, attending bible study, serving on the Newman council, becoming an EMHC, and helping teach 7th grade CCD. It was during my time here at Wayne State College that my relationship with the Lord depend through my relationships with missionaries, friends, and those whom I served.
Passions and Interests: Going camping, spending time with friends, reading, tiny houses, and learning more about Catholicism.
How/Why get involved: I was at a FOCUS conference in 2017 and stopped by Ablaze’s booth. I chatted with a woman there and she gave me her card. I held onto the card for the next two years and decided to take a chance and apply. Ultimately, I want to do for others what my youth minster did for me. If I am able to help change the life of one soul, then it will all be worth it.
