Ministry at Ablaze: Director of Marketing

Ministry Background: During High School, I was always the kid who knew the Catechism, but I didn’t really have a deep relationship with Christ. That all changed at a Steubenville Conference my freshman year of high school and from there I started speaking at various youth groups and getting involved in ministry. I went to Franciscan University and got a degree in Theology to further my study with the goal of working in ministry full-time.

My first job out of college was as Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry in the Diocese of Baker, OR. I loved my time there but left to enter seminary with the T.O.R Franciscans. I was in discernment for about 6 months before I discerned out and moved back home where I got a job at Diocesan. I worked as a Solutions Evangelist for three years doing everything from marketing, to speaking, to sales. My favorite part of the job was helping parishes communicate the Gospel in an effective way. I started a speaking ministry in 2011 and that has allowed me to travel the country giving talks and building programs for parishes and parishioners.

Ministry has always been about bringing people to Christ, and I have been incredibly blessed with the ministry opportunities God has given me and the amazing people I have been able to work with.

Passions and interests: I love acting and watching/critiquing musicals and shows. I have been performing magic tricks since I was 3 years old. I also love cooking and eating. Perhaps eating a little more than cooking. And of course, I love my wife.

How did you become involved with Ablaze/why are you involved? I have been following Ablaze ministries for a long time and I wanted to get more involved in a non-profit ministry. I knew a lot of the people on the team from Franciscan and knew this was a perfect place to be able to minister while also using my skills to glorify God.
