Camp Basic

Our mission to serve Jesus and bring the good news to the world around us is even more important now. We are committed to the well being of our students and we desire to provide a safe place for them to have an encounter with Jesus Christ.

It is with saddened hearts that we have made the decision not to proceed with Camp BASIC this summer. Although we have seen hope as the state has begun to open back up, there is still uncertainty as we look to the future and we believe that this decision is the best option for the safety and health of our youth.

Our decision to cancel Camp BASIC is only temporary due to the current situation we are in. We have every intention to bring Camp BASIC back for the summer of 2021.

We humbly ask you, our church family, for prayers during this time as God invites each of us to grow our roots deeper in him during this famine.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Know that we are praying for you and your youth during this time.

BASIC stands for “brothers and sisters in Christ,” and this week is all about having fun and growing in communion with Christ and one another. Camp BASIC is a five day Catholic overnight summer camp for incoming 6th-8th graders. If you are not familiar with Camp BASIC or the many blessing that it has provided to youth programs and parishes over the years, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

FUN

Campers will experience incredible daily encounters with Christ through the Sacraments, days and nights filled with exhilarating activities, inspiring worship, challenging and engaging talks, interactive sports, and life-changing prayer experiences!

FELLOWSHIP

Youth will build freindships throughout the week and have a blast with activities like conoeing, ga-ga ball, basketball, volleyball, 9-square, and frisbee. There will also be a swimming pool, rifle gun range, zipline over the lake, a BLOB and more!!

FAITH

Through this exciting week we hope to imprint within the young people’s hearts a true zeal to know Christ and embrace His plan for their lives. The youth ministry team will be joined by a group of high school leaders from different parishes to help direct the camp and be an example of leadership. Our goal for the campers is to build the confidence and strength needed to continue their faith journey and help them foster healthy relationships
